Processing of price lists in uCoz E-shop

It is convenient to create categories and add items manually only if you do not have many goods. But what of you want to sell hundreds or thousands of items?
In this case you should use automatic uploading from price lists. As a rule suppliers provide price lists in the Excel (*.xls) format. uCoz E-shop module can process such price lists and fill your shop with items automatically.
There is no unified required Excel format, you can teach the E-shop to understand any format, e.g. the one that you receive from your suppliers.
A price list can be either located on your PC or somewhere on the Web in the format .xls 97-2003. Before uploading, you need to create a processing configuration; if you have several suppliers you may need to create a separate configuration from each of them as the price lists can differ.

After you have created a configuration and have set all processing rules, you can upload items from a price list to your E-shop.
Items can also require additional manual processing – you may need to add additional images, edit descriptions. But afterward, when the database is formed, you will be able to update prices by means of Quick update of prices and goods range on the main page of E-shop settings.
